A City Run on Introductions

Doors in Istanbul open faster when someone local asks. Twenty years of working relationships with drivers, guides, hotel managers, boat captains and restaurant owners is the actual product — the itinerary is just how it looks on paper.

VIP Transportation

Met at the Aircraft Door, Not the Taxi Queue

Airport reception, name-sign meet-and-greet, flight tracking and a chauffeured executive vehicle waiting whatever time you land. Istanbul Airport to the city is 45 to 55 minutes when it flows, and considerably more when it does not — which is exactly why your driver leaves before you ask.

Dolmabahçe, Topkapı, Hagia Sophia and Süleymaniye in a sequence that respects opening days, prayer times and the light. A licensed guide who can read an Ottoman inscription is worth more than any fast-track ticket.

VIP Travel Agency Services in Istanbul and Türkiye

Most travel companies sell you a seat. A VIP travel agency sells you the removal of friction — and in Istanbul, friction is the whole problem. This page explains, in plain terms, what The History Travel Agency actually provides to private travellers, corporate delegations, official visitors, event organisers and groups, what it costs at 2026 market rates, and where the honest limits of the service lie.

The History Travel Agency was founded in 2011 by two professional guides who had already spent years walking visitors through Sultanahmet, and who had grown tired of watching mass tourism flatten a city that deserves better. The company trades as Hevra Turizm ve İnşaat Dış Tic. Ltd. Şti. and holds TÜRSAB licence number 7377. That licence matters more than it sounds: guiding inside Hagia Sophia, Topkapı Palace or the Archaeological Museums without a Ministry of Culture and Tourism badge is illegal in Türkiye, and the people who approach visitors outside Sultanahmet offering a tour almost never hold one.

What separates a VIP file from an ordinary booking is not marble and champagne. It is that someone has thought about your day before you live it. Topkapı closes on Tuesdays. The Grand Bazaar and Spice Market shut during religious holidays. The Bosphorus is a different colour at 7am than at noon, and a different crowd entirely. Friday midday prayers reshape the working mosques for ninety minutes. A programme that ignores any one of these produces a bad photograph and a wasted morning — and the traveller usually blames the city rather than the planner.

Our VIP concept combines four things that are normally bought from four different suppliers: chauffeured transportation, licensed private guiding, reservation and ticketing, and a named coordinator who remains reachable throughout. You can take all four, or one. A family that wants a single Mercedes and a driver for three days is as welcome as a corporate delegation needing forty people moved between a hotel, a conference centre and a gala dinner without a single person standing on a pavement wondering where the bus is.

The same operating structure extends across 122 destinations in Türkiye. Internal flight tickets, regional vehicles, local licensed guides in Cappadocia, Ephesus, Pamukkale, Antalya, Konya and the south-east, museum tickets, hotel reservations, dinner arrangements with entertainment, private daily excursions and multi-day packages — all of it runs through one file and one coordinator rather than a chain of subcontractors who blame each other when something slips.

We also take the harder categories: meetings and receptions, congress and incentive movement, gala and celebration organisation, sporting event and football club travel, school and student groups, and travel coordination for official, diplomatic and institutional visitors. Those last ones come with a caveat we would rather state on the page than in the small print, and it appears in full in the Official & Corporate section below.

What This Page Covers

Ten service areas, each bookable on its own or combined into a single programme. If your requirement is not listed, it is still worth asking — most of what we do now started as somebody's unusual request.

VIP Airport Reception

Meet-and-assist at arrivals, name-sign greeting, flight tracking, luggage assistance and a chauffeured transfer to your hotel, residence or cruise terminal.

Executive Transportation

Sedan, VIP van or flagship saloon with a professional chauffeur, by the transfer, the day or the week. Inter-airport and inter-city routing included.

Private VIP Tours

Istanbul's imperial and Ottoman monuments, Byzantine heritage and living neighbourhoods, sequenced around opening days, prayer times and traffic.

Yacht & Boat Charter

Private Bosphorus charter from a two-hour sunset cruise to a full island day, with crew, catering and music arranged to your brief.

Corporate & Executive Travel

Company guests, incentive groups and executive teams: hotels, transfers, meeting-day movement, dinners and a single invoice.

Official & Institutional Visits

Tourism-side logistics for delegations, embassy and consulate guests and institutional representatives, with clearly stated limits.

Events, Galas & Celebrations

Receptions, gala dinners, weddings, anniversaries, graduations, circumcision and championship celebrations, and party organisation.

Sporting & Club Travel

Football clubs, supporter groups and sporting event guests: movement, hospitality and accommodation around fixture schedules.

School & Group Travel

Student and organisational groups with supervision-aware routing, safe vehicles, licensed guides and documented itineraries.

Guides in Many Languages

Ministry-licensed guides in Istanbul, Cappadocia, Ephesus and Pamukkale — English throughout, Spanish and others on request.

Tickets & Internal Flights

Museum and site tickets, domestic air tickets, dinner arrangements with entertainment, and restaurant reservations that actually hold.

Tailor-Made Itineraries

Customised package programmes built around your interests, dates and pace rather than a template someone else is also on.

A Turkey-Based VIP Travel Agency, Service by Service

Travellers searching for a VIP travel agency are usually after one of two things: a complete programme, or one specific component done properly. Both are available here, and the sections below describe each honestly — including what is not included.

VIP Tourism Services in Istanbul

Private, Not Just Expensive

A VIP programme with us means a vehicle nobody else is sharing, a guide whose whole day belongs to you, timings you set rather than a coach schedule, and the freedom to change your mind at eleven in the morning. If a museum is unexpectedly busy or the weather turns, the plan bends. That flexibility, not the thread count of a hotel bathrobe, is what people are actually buying.

One Coordinator, Start to Finish

You are given a named person and a WhatsApp number. That person holds your whole file — flights, hotels, drivers, guides, tickets, restaurant bookings — and stays reachable for the duration of the visit. Reviewers consistently mention this: not the sightseeing, but the fact that somebody stayed in touch, and that when a hot-air balloon flight was cancelled for weather the refund arrived at the door rather than after three emails.

VIP Transportation, Airport Reception & Private Transfers

Transport is where most Istanbul visits succeed or fail, because the city is enormous and the traffic is unforgiving. Istanbul Airport sits roughly 45 to 55 minutes from Sultanahmet, Taksim and Beşiktaş in reasonable conditions. Sabiha Gökçen, on the Asian side, is closer to the Asian districts and considerably further from the historic peninsula. Crossing between the two airports takes 90 to 140 minutes depending on the hour, which is why an inter-airport connection needs planning rather than optimism.

We arrange executive sedans for one to three passengers, VIP vans for families and groups up to seven with luggage, and flagship saloons where a client specifically wants one. Every transfer includes flight tracking, name-sign meet-and-greet at arrivals, luggage assistance and a fixed price agreed in advance — no meter, no night surcharge, no conversation with the driver about the fare. Child seats are available on request and should be requested when you book, not on the morning.

Practical note: the single most common mistake visitors make is booking a hotel on the opposite side of the Bosphorus from their arrival airport without realising it. Tell us your flight numbers before you confirm accommodation and we will tell you, free, whether your hotel choice is about to cost you two hours on your first and last day.

Private Boat Charters, Yacht & Bosphorus Experiences

The Bosphorus is the reason Istanbul exists — a 30-kilometre strait separating two continents, lined with Ottoman waterfront mansions, fortresses, palaces and fishing villages that have been continuously inhabited for millennia. Seeing it from a crowded public ferry is pleasant. Seeing it from a chartered boat with nobody else aboard, at the hour you choose, is something else entirely.

Charter arrangements range from a two-hour sunset run past Dolmabahçe, Ortaköy, the Bosphorus Bridge, Rumeli Fortress and the Maiden's Tower, to a full day heading out toward the Princes' Islands in the Sea of Marmara. Vessel size, crew, catering, beverages and sound system are all specified in your quotation. Proposals, birthdays, anniversaries, corporate dinners and gala receptions on board are all routine requests. Catering is priced per head and generally needs a minimum number of guests, which we will tell you upfront.

Private Guides in Different Locations

Guiding in Türkiye is a regulated profession. A legal guide holds a Ministry of Culture and Tourism licence, carries a numbered badge and must renew it through continuing education. We work only with licensed guides, and we match them to the group rather than sending whoever is free — a guide brilliant with a family of curious teenagers is not necessarily the right person for a delegation of visiting academics.

English-speaking licensed guides are available in Istanbul, Cappadocia, Ephesus and Pamukkale as standard. Spanish, German, French, Arabic, Russian and Italian are arranged subject to availability, and genuinely should be requested well in advance: the pool of licensed guides in some languages is small, and during the April-to-October peak the good ones are booked out months ahead. Guide fees in Türkiye are charged per group per day, not per person, which is why a private guide is often cheaper per head for a family of four than four seats on a group tour.

Meetings, Receptions, Events & VIP Organisation

Congress and incentive work — meetings, conferences, gala dinners, product launches, receptions, roadshows and corporate gatherings — needs a different kind of thinking from leisure travel. The questions are about throughput: how do forty people get from a hotel lobby to a venue across the Golden Horn in the evening rush without arriving in three separate waves? Where do the dietary requirements get collected? Who is standing at the venue door when the first car arrives?

We handle the travel and movement side of that: group transfers, arrival and departure management, accommodation blocks, venue transport, guest handling, guide arrangements, cultural side-programmes for accompanying partners, and dinner arrangements with entertainment where wanted. Venue contracting, AV production and catering are arranged through specialist suppliers and stated as such in your quotation, so you always know who is responsible for what.

Celebrations: Weddings, Anniversaries, Graduations & Sporting Honours

Istanbul is an extraordinarily good city for a celebration, partly because the backdrops are free. Wedding anniversaries, graduation parties, wedding celebrations, circumcision celebrations, championship and sporting celebrations and general party organisation are all arranged around a venue, a boat or a restaurant, with transport, photography, flowers, cake and entertainment coordinated into one plan. Venue availability during May, June, September and October is genuinely tight — the good rooms and the good boats go early, and a celebration booked three weeks out is a celebration booked from what is left.

School Travel, Group Travel & Organisational Programmes

Student and organisational groups get a different operational profile: vehicles with the right capacity and safety documentation, guides experienced with younger audiences, routing that keeps walking distances and heat exposure sensible, clear headcount procedures at every stop, and a written itinerary that a school administrator can actually file. Museum and site tickets are pre-purchased so that fifty people are not queuing in the sun while one teacher counts heads.

Historical and Cultural Tours Among Our Services

Cultural and historical touring is not a sideline here, it is the founding business — the company is called The History Travel for a reason. Türkiye holds 21 inscribed UNESCO World Heritage properties and a tentative list many times longer, spanning Hittite capitals, Greek and Roman cities, Byzantine churches, Seljuk caravanserais and the full arc of Ottoman imperial architecture. Islamic heritage itineraries, biblical and pilgrimage routes, Ottoman capital circuits and archaeological deep-dives are all built to the same standard as the VIP leisure programmes, with the same vehicles and the same guides.

The Places a VIP Programme Is Actually Built Around

Naming destinations is easy. Knowing why each one matters, when to arrive and what it does to the rest of your day is the part that takes twenty years. Here is what sits at the centre of most premium programmes we build, and what we know about each.

Hagia Sophia Grand Mosque in Istanbul, the Byzantine cathedral that anchors every premium Istanbul itinerary
Sultanahmet · Istanbul

Hagia Sophia Grand Mosque

Completed in 537 under Justinian, Hagia Sophia held the record for the world's largest enclosed space for nearly a thousand years, and its dome — 31 metres across, floating on a ring of windows that makes the masonry above appear to rest on light — remains one of the genuinely astonishing things human beings have built. It served as the Byzantine imperial cathedral for nine centuries, as an Ottoman mosque for five more, as a museum from 1935, and returned to worship in 2020. Byzantine gold mosaics and vast Ottoman calligraphic roundels now share the same walls, which is a summary of Istanbul in a single room.

Topkapı Palace courtyard in Istanbul, the Ottoman imperial residence visited on private VIP tours
Seraglio Point · Istanbul

Topkapı Palace

For almost four hundred years this was the nerve centre of an empire that stretched from Budapest to Basra. Topkapı is not a single grand building in the European manner but a sequence of four courtyards, each one quieter and more restricted than the last, so that walking through it is an education in how Ottoman power organised access to itself. The Imperial Treasury, the Sacred Relics chambers and the Harem — separately ticketed and worth every lira — reward a guide who can explain what you are looking at rather than leaving you to read labels.

Dolmabahçe Palace on the Bosphorus shore, a centrepiece of luxury Istanbul VIP itineraries

Dolmabahçe Palace

When Sultan Abdülmecid decided that medieval Topkapı no longer expressed an empire that wished to be taken seriously in Europe, he commissioned this: 45,000 square metres, 285 rooms, 46 halls, built between 1843 and 1853 by the Balyan family of court architects. Fourteen tonnes of gold went into the ceilings. The Ceremonial Hall holds the largest crystal chandelier in the world, 4.5 tonnes and 750 lamps, beneath a dome 36 metres up. The construction cost roughly a quarter of the empire's annual tax revenue and helped push it toward the 1875 default — magnificence and catastrophe in the same building. Atatürk died here in 1938, and every clock in his room still reads 9:05.

Süleymaniye Mosque above the Golden Horn, Mimar Sinan's masterpiece on Istanbul's Third Hill
Third Hill · Istanbul

Süleymaniye Mosque

Commissioned by Suleiman the Magnificent, inaugurated in 1557 and designed by Mimar Sinan at the height of his powers, Süleymaniye is the building most Istanbul guides quietly prefer to all the others. Four minarets mark it as a sultan's foundation; ten galleries between them signal that Suleiman was the tenth Ottoman sultan. The interior is an almost perfect square of 59 by 58 metres under a 53-metre dome, and Sinan's structural sleight of hand — hiding enormous buttresses inside colonnaded galleries — makes that vast space feel effortless. The terrace outside offers the finest free view of the Golden Horn in the city.

The Maiden's Tower & the Bosphorus

Kız Kulesi sits on its own islet just off the Asian shore, and it has been a toll station, a lighthouse, a quarantine post and a customs checkpoint across roughly two and a half thousand years of continuous usefulness. It is also the natural turning point of a private charter. Head north from here and the strait delivers Ortaköy Mosque under the bridge, the Ottoman waterfront yalı mansions of Bebek and Arnavutköy, Rumeli Fortress built by Mehmed II in four months flat before the conquest, and the point where Europe and Asia narrow to 700 metres. Sunrise balloon flight over the fairy chimneys of Cappadocia, Türkiye
Nevşehir Province · Central Anatolia

Cappadocia

Three volcanoes laid down soft tuff across this plateau; ten million years of wind and water carved it into pinnacles, and human beings spent two thousand years hollowing it out from the inside. The result is a landscape of fairy chimneys, rock-cut Byzantine churches with frescoes still on their walls at Göreme, and underground cities such as Derinkuyu that sheltered thousands of people at depths of sixty metres. The balloon flight at sunrise is genuinely as good as the photographs suggest. It is also weather-dependent and cancels without much notice, which is why we build programmes with a second morning in reserve rather than a single chance.

The Library of Celsus at Ephesus near Kuşadası, one of the best preserved ancient cities in the Mediterranean
İzmir Province · Aegean Coast

Ephesus

Ephesus was a city of a quarter of a million people, the Roman capital of Asia Minor, and one of the great ports of the ancient Mediterranean until its harbour silted up and left it stranded inland. What survives is exceptional: the two-storey façade of the Library of Celsus, a theatre seating 25,000, marble streets still grooved by cart wheels, and the Terrace Houses, where the painted walls and mosaic floors of wealthy Roman families sit under a modern shelter. The House of the Virgin Mary on nearby Bülbül Mountain draws Christian pilgrims from around the world. Arrive at opening time; by eleven the cruise coaches have landed and the marble street is shoulder to shoulder.

Pamukkale & Hierapolis

Calcium-rich thermal water has been running down this hillside for thousands of years, depositing white travertine in terraces and pools until the whole slope looks like a frozen waterfall — hence the name, "cotton castle". Above it stands Hierapolis, the Greco-Roman spa city that grew up around the springs, with a theatre, a monumental necropolis and the Antique Pool where you can still swim among fallen marble columns. It is a UNESCO World Heritage property on both natural and cultural criteria. The Turquoise Coast & Fethiye

Türkiye's southwestern coastline runs for hundreds of kilometres past Lycian rock tombs cut high into cliff faces, sunken cities visible through clear water at Kekova, and bays reachable only from the sea. Fethiye makes the natural base: the Tomb of Amyntas looks down over the harbour from the 4th century BC, Ölüdeniz's blue lagoon sits half an hour away, and the Twelve Islands are a standard day under sail. For clients wanting a luxury programme that combines heritage with genuine rest, a few days here after Istanbul and Cappadocia is the most reliable finish we know.

Edirne, Bursa & the Ottoman Capitals

Before Istanbul there was Bursa, and before Bursa, Söğüt. The Ottoman story runs through a chain of capitals, and visiting them in order turns an abstract dynasty into something you can walk around. Bursa holds the Green Mosque and Green Tomb, the silk markets, and Cumalıkızık, a 700-year-old village of Ottoman houses on the slopes of Uludağ. Edirne, deep in European Thrace, holds Mimar Sinan's Selimiye Mosque — which Sinan himself called his masterwork, built when he was past eighty, its dome deliberately wider than Hagia Sophia's. Both are comfortable day trips or overnight extensions from Istanbul, and both are far quieter than they deserve to be.

Travel Coordination for Official Visitors, Stated Honestly

This is the part of a VIP travel page where most agencies overclaim. We would rather be the one you can trust, so here is exactly what we do and do not provide.

What we do provide

The History Travel Agency welcomes inquiries from embassies, consulates, foreign missions, government offices, holding companies, corporate personnel departments and institutional representatives, and we arrange the tourism and ground-logistics side of a visit. In practice that means airport reception and private transfers, chauffeured executive transportation, accommodation reservations and room blocks, meeting-day movement coordination between hotel, venue and dinner, scheduling assistance across a multi-day programme, licensed private guides, restaurant and hospitality reservations, cultural side-programmes for delegations and accompanying partners, and Bosphorus yacht arrangements for official hospitality. Each of these is specified line by line in a written quotation so there is no ambiguity about scope.

What we do not provide

Official protocol, close protection and security detail, accreditation, diplomatic clearance and motorcade arrangements are not part of ordinary tourism services and are not included in anything we sell. Those requirements must be arranged through the relevant authorities and authorised parties. Where a programme touches them, we will say so at quotation stage and coordinate our ground arrangements around whatever those parties decide, rather than pretending we can deliver them.

On claims about our client history. You will find travel websites asserting that they serve heads of state, prime ministers and government delegations. We have deliberately not written that on this page. Search terms of that kind describe a category of service, not a customer list, and publishing them as fact without substantiation is the sort of thing that should make you suspicious of any supplier. We describe the services we can genuinely arrange, we confirm scope in writing before you commit, and we let 33 published five-star reviews speak to what we are actually like to work with.

Corporate and executive travel

Corporate travellers, executive teams and company personnel generally need three things from a Türkiye-based agency: reliable transport that does not embarrass anyone, accommodation appropriate to seniority, and a schedule that survives contact with Istanbul traffic. Programmes are built around your company's travel policy, group size, meeting calendar and preferred service level, and are consolidated into a single invoice rather than a folder of receipts. Incentive groups, client hospitality, roadshows and partner programmes are all routine. Where a visit combines business with a cultural day, that day is planned by the same guides who run our heritage tours — it does not become an afterthought handled by whoever was available.

Our indicative VIP programme rate. A full-day VIP programme in Istanbul — chauffeured vehicle, licensed private guide, entrance fees, hotel pickup and drop-off, lunch at a good local restaurant, and a coordinator on call — is quoted from €480 per adult on a private basis and €280 per adult in a small group, with children at roughly half. Multi-day and multi-destination programmes, transport-only bookings, event work and delegation files are priced individually. Every figure on this page is indicative until it appears on your written quotation.
Market rates above were compiled from published Istanbul operator pricing for 2026 and are shown so you can benchmark any offer you receive. Actual cost depends on vehicle class, group size, season, guide language, which sites you enter and whether internal flights or accommodation are included. Prices in euros; Turkish lira equivalents fluctuate. We do not quote a price we cannot hold.

How to Get More Out of a VIP Programme in Türkiye

Generated from patterns across thousands of Türkiye itineraries and cross-checked against what our guides see on the ground. Free advice, whether or not you book with us.

Give Istanbul Three Days, Not One

The single most common planning error is a one-day Istanbul stop inside a longer Türkiye tour. The historic peninsula alone needs a full day; the Bosphorus and the modern city need another; the Asian side, the bazaars and the food deserve a third. Compressing that produces a blur and a sore pair of feet.

Itinerary design Pacing

Travel in the Shoulder Season

April, May, September and October give you comfortable temperatures, usable light for photography and thinner queues. July and August in Istanbul, Ephesus and the south-east are genuinely punishing, and the heat will shorten your days whether you planned for it or not.

Timing Comfort

Fly Internally, Don't Drive Everything

Türkiye is larger than most visitors expect — Istanbul to Cappadocia is roughly 730 kilometres. A 75-minute domestic flight costs a fraction of what a lost travel day costs. We build internal flights into multi-destination programmes as standard and will tell you when driving genuinely is the better option.

Logistics Time saving
1

Book the balloon on your first Cappadocia morning, not your last. Flights cancel for wind regularly. If your only attempt is the morning you fly home, a cancellation means you simply do not go. Two nights gives you a second chance; three makes it near-certain.

2

Check which side of the Bosphorus your hotel is on before you confirm it. A European-side hotel with a Sabiha Gökçen arrival, or vice versa, quietly adds two hours to your first and last days. Send us your flight numbers before booking and we will check it for you at no charge.

3

Request non-English guide languages early. The licensed pool for Spanish, Italian, Russian and Arabic is small, and in high season the strong guides are committed months ahead. Four to eight weeks is not excessive for a language request.

4

Build your Istanbul days around the closures, not around the map. Topkapı shuts on Tuesdays, Dolmabahçe on Mondays, and the covered markets close for religious holidays. Friday midday reshapes the working mosques. A geographically tidy plan that ignores the calendar is a worse plan.

5

Put the Bosphorus charter at golden hour and keep it flexible. The same route is ordinary at noon and unforgettable ninety minutes before sunset. Wind occasionally moves a departure — a charter with a movable slot is worth more than one locked to a fixed time.

6

For delegations, brief us on rank and relationships, not just headcount. Who travels in which vehicle, who is greeted first, who must not be kept waiting — these decide the transport plan far more than the number of seats. The earlier we know, the smoother the arrival looks.

7

Tell us about dietary needs, mobility and medical considerations at inquiry stage. One reviewer travelled vegetarian and worried about the food the whole way; the answer was a restaurant chosen weeks earlier. Another had a family member fall ill mid-trip and the itinerary was rebuilt around rest without losing the sights. Both were possible only because we knew in time.

8

Carry small cash and comfortable shoes, and accept the tea. Istanbul's historic core is cobbled, hilly and best walked. Small change is useful at mosques and markets. And when a shopkeeper or a guide offers çay, sitting down for ten minutes is not a delay — it is generally where the trip stops being a tour.

Jul 2025 · 7-day Cappadocia package
★★★★★

Bought a seven-day Cappadocia package as a gift for a partner and her family, and reports the tour was thoroughly enjoyable with outstanding service from Sebahattin and the wider team. Ends by recommending the agency to everyone and saying they would happily return to Türkiye through the same company.

★★★★★

Came to the agency on a friend's recommendation after hearing about Türkiye from people who had already visited, then booked a ten-day family package. Found the owner friendly and knowledgeable, the organisation thorough, and recommends both him and the agency without reservation.

Mar 2024 · Couple, full-day Istanbul tour
★★★★★

Took a full day of Istanbul with his wife, covering the principal mosques and Topkapı with a good lunch along the way. Describes Mehmet and Sebahattin less as guides than as hosts showing off their own country, calls the price fair, and recommends them wholeheartedly.

Nov 2023 · Cappadocia tour
★★★★★

The review we point to most often. When a hot-air balloon flight was cancelled for bad weather, Sebahattin came back to the guest's accommodation in person to return the money. He had also come to meet them on day one, and stayed in touch on WhatsApp until they boarded their outbound flight.

Singapore · Dec 2022, customised Istanbul
★★★★★

Notes that the sequence of attractions was ordered in a way that simply made sense. When a family member fell ill mid-trip, the itinerary was immediately reworked to allow more rest while still covering everything planned. They also mention the Turkish tea and conversations at the office, and plan to return.

Jun 2023 · Couple, from India
★★★★★

Describes constant contact from departure in India until arrival home, with attention to small details. As vegetarians the couple were anxious about food, and the agency arranged vegetarian continental meals for them. Praises guide Mehmet Nehir's calm manner and advises comfortable walking shoes, water and small change.

A brief, warm note describing a thoroughly pleasant and well-organised trip with plenty of fun, a memorable experience thanks to the operator personally, and — worth recording on a page about premium travel — a price the reviewer found budget-friendly.

VIP & Premium Travel in Türkiye — Your Questions Answered

A VIP travel agency plans and runs the whole ground operation rather than selling you a single ticket. For us that means airport meet-and-assist, chauffeured vehicles, hotel and restaurant reservations, licensed private guides, museum and internal flight tickets, yacht or boat charter, and a named coordinator who stays reachable on WhatsApp for the duration of your visit. You can take the complete programme or a single component such as transport or a guide.

Yes. Airport reception and private transfers, executive transportation for a working day, and multi-day chauffeur arrangements can all be booked on their own. Tell us the vehicle class you want, your dates and your movement pattern, and we will quote the transport alone with no obligation to add anything else.

We accept inquiries for official, institutional and corporate delegations and arrange the tourism-side logistics: transport, accommodation, guides, meeting-day movement and cultural programmes. Protocol, security detail, accreditation and motorcade arrangements are not part of ordinary tourism services and must be handled by the relevant authorities. We will tell you plainly at quotation stage which parts of your requirement we can deliver and which need to come from elsewhere.

As a 2026 market guide: a VIP airport transfer runs roughly €65 for an executive sedan, €85 for a VIP van and €120 for a flagship saloon, per vehicle. A licensed private guide is around €150 to €350 for a full day for the whole group, against a ministry minimum near €105. Private yacht charter starts around €200 for two hours on a small vessel. A full private day for two people, all inclusive, typically lands between €320 and €480. Our own indicative full-day VIP programme rate is €480 per adult private and €280 per adult in a small group, confirmed by written quotation.

Not automatically, and we would rather say so. In our usage VIP means privacy, a dedicated vehicle and guide, flexible timing and a single point of contact. Hotel category, vehicle class and inclusions are whatever is written into your confirmed programme. If you want five-star accommodation and a flagship saloon, say so and we will price it. If you want a comfortable four-star and a good van, that is equally a VIP file.

English is available across Istanbul, Cappadocia, Ephesus and Pamukkale as standard. Spanish, German, French, Arabic, Russian and Italian can be arranged subject to availability and are best requested well in advance — the pool of licensed guides in some languages is small, and during the April-to-October peak the strongest guides are committed months ahead.

Yes. Celebration programmes including wedding anniversaries, graduations, circumcision celebrations, championship and sporting celebrations, gala dinners and general party organisation are built around venue, catering, transport and entertainment arrangements. Venue availability in Istanbul during May, June, September and October is tight, so early inquiry genuinely changes what is available to you.

Yes. The History Travel Agency operates as Hevra Turizm ve İnşaat Dış Tic. Ltd. Şti. under TÜRSAB licence number 7377, and works with guides holding Ministry of Culture and Tourism licences. Guiding inside Hagia Sophia, Topkapı and other state sites without that licence is illegal in Türkiye — worth knowing before you book anyone, anywhere.

For a straightforward transfer or a single guided day, a few days is usually enough. For delegations, events, yacht charter, Cappadocia balloon slots or anything in the April-to-October peak, four to eight weeks gives you real choice of vehicles, guides and venues rather than whatever happens to be left.

Free cancellation up to 48 hours before the service date on standard programmes. Cancellations inside 48 hours are non-refundable. Date changes are accommodated subject to availability. Yacht charter, event venues and group arrangements carry their own supplier terms, which are stated in your written quotation before you commit to anything.

We arrange programmes across 122 destinations in Türkiye, including Cappadocia, Ephesus, Pamukkale, Antalya, Konya, Bursa, Edirne, Trabzon, Gallipoli, Troy, Pergamon, Göbeklitepe, Nemrut, Mardin and the Turquoise Coast. Internal flights, regional vehicles and local licensed guides are all handled inside the same file, with one coordinator rather than a chain of local subcontractors.

Quotations are issued in euros. Payment is accepted by Visa, Mastercard, bank transfer and PayPal. Corporate and institutional files can be invoiced to the organisation on agreed terms. We do not ask for full payment before a programme is confirmed in writing, and the quotation you accept is the price you pay.

An Agency Run by Guides, Not a Call Centre

The History Travel Agency was started by two professional guides who had already spent years working in Istanbul and across Türkiye, and who wanted to avoid mass tourism entirely — to make each guest feel that the trip had been arranged around them specifically, because it had been.

That is still how the company works. The person who answers your inquiry is the person who builds your programme and stays reachable while you travel. It is why the Tripadvisor reviews talk less about monuments and more about someone turning up in person, rearranging a day around an illness, or returning a refund by hand. Türkiye is the world's largest open-air museum, with 21 inscribed UNESCO World Heritage properties, four seas and a coastline of bays and coves. It deserves better than a coach and a clipboard.

Whether you need a single airport transfer, a chauffeured week, a delegation moved without friction, a celebration nobody forgets, or a three-week journey across the whole country — tell us what you have in mind, and we will tell you honestly what it takes.
