The Essential Turkey Experience, in One Week
This is our flagship short itinerary — the trip we'd recommend to anyone who wants a genuinely complete introduction to Turkey without committing several weeks to it.
The journey begins in Istanbul, the only city spanning two continents, with two full days covering Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, the Grand Bazaar, and a Bosphorus boat ride. From there, a short flight carries you to Cappadocia, where volcanic rock has been sculpted into fairy chimneys and carved into cave dwellings and underground cities, with the option of a sunrise hot air balloon flight.
The route continues to Pamukkale, where thermal springs have built brilliant white travertine terraces above the ruins of ancient Hierapolis, before ending at Ephesus, near Izmir, one of the best-preserved ancient cities in the Mediterranean.
Five hotel nights across four distinct regions make this our most complete short-format Turkey itinerary — a genuine one-week alternative to a much longer trip.
