From Volcanic Valleys to Ancient Marble Streets
Two entirely different sides of Turkey, connected in one trip: Cappadocia's otherworldly rock landscapes, and the grand ruins of one of the best-preserved cities of the ancient world.
Cappadocia is defined by fairy-chimney rock formations, cave dwellings and underground cities carved from volcanic tuff. This tour covers its essential sights: the Göreme Open Air Museum, Uçhisar Castle, Pigeon Valley, Avanos and an underground city, with the option of a sunrise hot air balloon flight.
A short flight then connects you to Ephesus, near Izmir on Turkey's Aegean coast, where you'll walk the marble Curetes Way past the Library of Celsus and the Great Theatre, and visit the House of the Virgin Mary, a revered pilgrimage site.
Two hotel stays give each region its own dedicated time, rather than compressing everything into a single rushed day.

Make the Most of Your 3 Days
Here's how to plan around this itinerary for the smoothest, most rewarding trip.
One Region Per Day
This itinerary is paced so each day belongs to one region — resist the urge to rush ahead.
Book the Balloon Flight Early
Weather-dependent slots fill fast in peak season — confirm as soon as your dates are set.
Golden Hour at Ephesus
The Library of Celsus photographs best in soft early light, before the site gets busy.
Plan Around the Heat
Ephesus offers little shade — an early start helps you avoid the strongest midday sun.
Stay Flexible with Flight Times
The Cappadocia-Izmir flight schedule can shift seasonally — confirm timing close to your travel date.
Pack Light but Layered
Cappadocia mornings are cool, the Aegean coast is warmer — removable layers work best.
Accommodation & Transportation

Accommodation: One night is spent in a boutique cave-style hotel in Cappadocia, and one night at a comfortable hotel near Ephesus. Standard double or twin rooms are included at both, with breakfast.
Transportation: Domestic flights connect Istanbul, Cappadocia (Kayseri/Nevşehir) and Izmir (for Ephesus), with all airport and site transfers included by private vehicle.
Good to Know Before You Go
Best Time to Visit
April–June and September–November suit both regions well, avoiding the summer heat of the Aegean coast.
What to Pack
Layered clothing for Cappadocia, plus sun protection and comfortable shoes for walking the marble streets of Ephesus.
Flight Connections
The Cappadocia-to-Izmir flight is short but requires airport check-in time — your guide will help manage the schedule.
Currency & Payments
The Turkish Lira (TRY) is the official currency. Major credit cards are widely accepted at hotels and larger sites; carrying some cash is useful for small vendors.
Tour Price
Shared/small-group tours start from approximately €375 per adult, based on double or twin room occupancy. Private tours are available at a higher rate.
